About Elevation Community Church

We're a people of the Bible
The Bible is our source of Truth. In fact, the Bible is the Truth. And all we believe - from Jesus Christ to Creation and Spiritual Gifts - comes from God's Word. We use God's Word to teach, preach, to govern our church, and to serve our community. Simply put, we strive to live by His Word.
We fellowship together
Whether it is worship, classes, groups, or service projects, we have a desire to be together throughout the week. We pray for each other and contact each other to talk. We also let our friends, colleagues, and neighbors know about our church family - especially those who may need to know more about the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We serve together
The Bible says we should care for our family and for those outside our family, so we work at doing both. We want to shepherd and love on those in our midst that need understanding, encouragement, and acts of service. We also want to show those in our community the love of Jesus through acts of service. Our prayer is that God will be glorified by all that we do.
A little more about Elevation Community Church
Ministries, Elders, Staff & Volunteers
You can learn more about us in-person and by having discussions with church leaders, but here are a few other bits of information about us that may help you out:
-
What should I expect during a worship service? We worship together weekly. People come dressed casually or semi-formally, as they choose. We meet before service begins (at (9:30 am) for coffee & fellowship. We then gather for announcements and greetings, followed by worship through song. Our music ranges from contemporary to hymns. Our teaching and preaching is about God's Word. Occasionally, we have family meetings or gatherings after service.
-
What about children and teens? Our nursery and pre-K ministry has grown considerably and we have changed our rooms and added volunteers to better accomodate these precious ones. We are also looking to add a new staff roll for our elementary students, and continue to support our senior high ministry. Our incredible volunteers pour into our children and teens with the love of Christ for teaching of His Word.
-
How is ECC operated? How does the church run? Elevation Community Church operates by the grace of God for His glory. We are elder led (that is, the elders lead all aspects of the church), ministry leader run (soon to be deacons), and volunteer enabled. We have a very small staff and operate through the hands and feet of many gracious volunteers. We encourage all attenders and members to serve in some capacity, as they are gifted.
-
Does ECC have church members? To help us live out the Word together, ECC has recently adopted a membership model, where those who are interested (prayerfully all regular attenders) can be heard to become church members. Our membership requirements were determined by the elders and affirmed by the church family for the church family.
