 WHAT WE BELIEVE

1. GOD
The Trinity: We believe... in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect and
eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
God the Father- We believe... That God the Father, having limitless knowledge and
sovereign power, has graciously purposed from eternity to redeem a people for Himself and
to make all things new for His own glory.
Person of Christ: We believe... Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross, a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, where, at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He is now our High Priest and Advocate.
Holy Spirit: We believe... The ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ
and, during this age, to draw hearts to the Father, reveal Jesus, convict people of their sin,
regenerate the believing sinner, and indwell, guide, instruct, continue to fill and overflow,
and empower the believer for godly living and service.

2. THE BIBLE
We believe that God has spoken in the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, through
the words of human authors. As the Spirit-inspired Word of God, the Bible is without error in
the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for salvation, and the ultimate
authority by which every realm of human knowledge and endeavor should be judged.
Therefore, it is to be believed in all that it teaches, obeyed in all that it requires, and trusted in
all that it promises.

3. HUMANITY
We believe... that man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is, therefore, lost, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.

4. SALVATION
We believe... that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His Resurrection provide the only
ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus are
born of the Holy Spirit and, thus become children of God.

5. THE CHURCH
We believe... that the true Church is composed of all people who through saving faith in
Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the Body of Christ
of which He is the head, Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church and every local
church has the right, under Christ, to decide and govern its own affairs.

6. ORDINANCES OF THE CHURCH
We believe... that water baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances to be observed by the Church during the present age.
     - BAPTISM: For those who believe in Christ for salvation and desire to walk as His
disciple, baptism is an essential “first step”. It is a clear teaching of the Bible which
outwardly expresses the inward reality of new life in Christ.
     - LORD'S SUPPER: Communion is a memorial of Christ and His redemptive death. For
those who believe, it is also an expression of our fellowship with the Lord, Jesus Christ
and with one another.

7. CHRISTIAN LIVING
We believe that God's justifying grace must not be separated from His sanctifying power
and purpose. God commands us to love Him supremely and others sacrificially, and to live
out our faith with care for one another, compassion toward the poor and justice for the
oppressed. With God’s Word, the Spirit’s power, and fervent prayer in Christ’s name, we are
to combat the spiritual forces of evil. In obedience to Christ’s commission, we are to make
disciples among all people, always bearing witness to the gospel in word and deed.

8. THE FUTURE
We believe in the personal, bodily and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ. The coming of Christ, at a time known only to God, demands constant expectancy and, as our
blessed hope, motivates the believer to godly living, sacrificial service and energetic
mission.

9. RESPONSE AND ETERNAL DESTINY
We believe that God commands everyone everywhere to believe the gospel by turning
to Him in repentance and receiving the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe that God will raise the
dead bodily and judge the world, assigning the unbeliever to condemnation and eternal
conscious punishment and the believer to eternal blessedness and joy with the Lord in the
new heaven and the new earth, to the praise of His glorious grace. Amen.
